Our story starts the same as many others, but what makes ours completely different and 100% our own is the story of our proposal. This is without a doubt the best proposal in probably history. It should really win a prize.
On a random Tuesday in May, I headed off to school just like normal and without a care in the world. It was going to be a wonderful day at school because we were taking a field trip to the beach. Upon our return from the beach I returned to school to find a dozen red roses on my desk. Thinking Andrew was just being sweet I opened the card to find a shocking note that read "Get ready for an adventurous evening. A driver will be at the house to pick you up at 6:00 pm. Follow the clues and I'll see you at sunset. Love, Andrew." Well, I was so excited I couldn't make it out of school fast enough. When I got home I found an outfit and a rose laid out on my bed, with a note that said "wear this, and I'll see you soon." At 6:00 pm a limo pulled up in front of my house, with nothing but a rose and an envelope inside. From this point on I drove around Ft. Myers in a limo, by myself, in search for this man I couldn't wait to see. Finally, after visiting the sight of our first meeting, and first date, I found him on the beach in a coordinating outfit ready to propose. After he proposed a photographer emerged from the background, and we continued to have our first photos taken as an engaged couple. When the sun had set we headed back into the limo, and went to dinner at Ruth Chris Steak House. Andrew had pre-planned everything, down to the rose petals on the table.
It was a day we will both remember forever, and we are now looking forward to our next exciting day, the wedding!
Our wedding will take place in Lake Mary, Florida. We chose Lake Mary because it is close to our home in Orlando, and it has more of the hometown feel of Ohio where I grew up. The ceremony will start at 4:00 pm at All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford Florida. Immediately following the ceremony the reception will begin at Lake Mary Events center only a short drive away. Transportation will be provided to and from all wedding activities for the rehearsal dinner, and the day of the wedding for guests choosing to stay at the Lake Mary Marriott. In order to reserve your room at the special rate just mention you are with the Baker/ Luciano party. This wedding will be so much fun, and we cannot wait to share it with all of you!
Our reception is at a beautiful location. Lake Mary Events center is one of the newer events centers in central Florida. We love the look and the atmosphere. Be prepared for some amazing music, and a few surprises along the way. Once again transportation will be provided to the location from the church and after the reception back to the Lake Mary Marriott. The attire for the event is semi-formal.
Orlando is exploding with activities to do while you are here. First our preferred hotel is the Lake Mary Marriott. When making you reservation just mention the Baker/ Luciano wedding and there is a special rate in place. Also transportation will be provided for guests of the hotel to and from all wedding activities. There are 2 choices for airports. The Sanford Airport, and the Orlando Airport. You will need to arrange transportation to the hotel. We are also planning a huge trip to Disney World on Saturday November 7, 2009. We are hoping everyone will join us because we will be so busy before the wedding that this will be our chance to hang out. The more people we get, probably the cheaper the tickets will be, so please let us know if you are interested. We are considering either Epcot, or Hollywood Studios. We will continue to update this website with our other itineraries for the wedding weekend.
Andrew and I cannot express how grateful we are that you are deciding to share this wonderful day with us. It will be the best gift of all to see everyone we love celebrating our big day.
