Our Genesis began in the house of God back in 2009. I saw a beautiful young woman with a bright smile greeting me as I was visiting ACTS church. Thank God for the greeters!! (LOL) I continued to visit the church, and I became more intrigued with this young lady. Although she had a beautiful smile, I could sense there was pain behind that smile, and I was determined to heal some of those wounds. Our communication began with emailing each other on Myspace and then later on facebook. Unfortunately she really didn't want to give me the time of day, so I had to use social media to get her attention. It "only" took about 4 months to get the phone number and even longer to get a date! None the less once we began to talk on a regular basis, we instantly began to grow closer and closer. I remember the first conversation we had lasted about 5 or 6 hours!! Love birds in the making! Here it is a few years later, and we're now planning our wedding!

November 18, 2011"The night to remember for a lifetime." I told Connie I was taking us out for a Friday night dinner, but little did she know her sister and I had been planning a surprise birthday/proposal party. We invited both of our family and friends, everyone knew what was about to take place except Connie. As I was trying to stall time, she began to get a little upset with me because she was hungry and wondering why I was wasting time. (LOL) We finally arrived at the location, and what a surprise!!! She was so excited, and totally surprised!! Once we finished eating and congregating, Connie wanted to thank everyone for coming out. As she completed her thank you, I also added "we also want to thank everyone for coming to share this once in a lifetime moment with us" and begin to drop to my knee-the tears immediately began to flow. Popped the question "Can I take care of you for life?" And she said yes!!!! And the journey continues....
